JAMES RAMBASEK, MD, FACS (Emeritus)
Dr. James Rambasek was born and raised in Cleveland. After graduating from St Ignatius High School and The College of the Holy Cross, he graduated from Case Western Reserve University Medical School. He interned at Cleveland Clinic Hospitals and then did his residency at Case Western Reserve University Affiliated Hospitals.
Dr. Rambasek is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the Cleveland Academy of Medicine, Cleveland Ophthalmology Society, Ohio Ophthalmological Society, the American Medical Association and the Ohio State Medical Association and the American College of Surgeons. He has served as President of the Cleveland Ophthalmological Society and Innova Medical Services; he is the first physician to serve on the Board of Trustees of Parma Community General Hospital Association; Chairman of Parma Hospital Healthcare Foundation; on the Board of Parma Healthcare Ministries. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Deaconess Hospital and Parma Hospital; chairman of Quality Assurance at Deaconess and Parma Hospitals; Disaster Chairman at Parma Hospital. Dr. Rambasek retired in July of 2014.
