BORIS KOMROVSKY, MD, FACS
Dr. Boris Komrovsky is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist who has been in practice since 1983. His patients range from young children to senior citizens, and his services range from glasses and contact lenses. He performs the latest surgical procedures and treatments, including “no stitch” cataract surgery with specialized intra ocular lens implants, injections for macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease, as well as surgery for glaucoma, crossed eyes and various eyelid abnormalities.
Born in New York City in 1951, Dr. Komrovsky received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1973, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from New Jersey Medical School in 1979. Upon graduation from Medical School, he moved to Cleveland for an internship at MetroHealth in Internal Medicine and completed his specialty training in Ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic in 1983. After nearly two years teaching residents in the Cleveland Clinic Program at St. Vincent Charity Hospital, he joined Medical Eye Associates in June of 1985.
Dr. Komrovsky is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Over the years he has served on numerous committees in various hospitals including Quality Improvement committees at Deaconess Hospital and Southwest General Hospital, and Institutional Review Boards at both Southwest General and Parma Community General Hospital. He has also held leadership positions in the Medical Executive Committees at Parma Community General Hospital and Deaconess Hospitals, and the Board of Directors of the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland. He has also served as President of the Medical Staff at Deaconess Hospital and President of the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland.
